Queen Britney Spears will draw the viewers in for the opening of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
A new commercial advertising Britney's appearance confirms she'll take the stage first out of a star-studded lineup. The promo says Brit will sing her "greatest hits," making no mention of her possibly premiering her new song "Make Me" like previous reports claim.
The rumor was "Make Me" (now without the "Oooh") will premiere online two days before her Billboard Music Awards medley where she'll perform it live.
"Everyone knows Britney brings in massive ratings, so it was a no-brainer for producers to try and get her on board," said a source to the Daily Star. "With her new single dropping a couple of days before the show timing couldn't be more perfect. She is in the best shape of her life so the performance is set to be a massive return to the top."
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Britney joins previously announced performers Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, DNCE, Fifth Harmony, The Go-Go’s, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, Nick Jonas and Tove Lo, Troye Sivan, Madonna, Kesha, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
